Cyntia Smith has been an internationally known fretted dulcimer recording artist singer, songwriter, and arranger of traditional British Isles and European music since 1980. With her former music collaborator Ruth Barrett, she has recorded & co-produced five critically acclaimed albums on their independent recording label Aeolus Music. Located in Westminster, Ca., she also teaches her "classical" finger picking style, assists Master Luthier Dale Foye in the construction of Aeolus Instruments, and is the cofounder of the Southern California Dulcimer Heritage, a nonprofit organization. In 2000, Cyntia became a Board Certified Music Therapist, and she uses the dulcimer as a tool in her clinical work with children and adults with disabilities. | |
